  • Kidney dialysis
  • Arthritis programs
  • Drug and alcohol prevention
  • Mental health treatment - for children and adults
  • Physical rehabilitation - for children and adults
  • Family and children fitness programs

Senior Citizens Panel:
Senior Citizens deserve to live with dignity. This is realized by funding programs that enable seniors to stay within their own homes by providing:

  • Healthy meals
  • Senior guardians
  • Home chore services
  • Home health care
  • Prescription assistance
  • Hospice care
  • Senior center programs
  • Exercise classes
  • Respite care

United Way of Lake County's Goal for the Basic Needs Panel:
Permanently changing conditions enables people in crisis or emergencies to take care of themselves. This is realized by funding programs that systemically address the core of the problem; for instance, we will provide shelter, but impact is made when we can prevent homelessness. We provide:

  • Food for pantries
  • Emergency shelter
  • Transitional housing for women and children
  • Domestic abuse shelter
  • Disaster services
  • Homeless outreach day program
  • Utility/mortgage/rent assistance
  • Foreclosure information
  • 2-1-1; 24/7 information and referral
