The Women's Leadership Council of United Way of Lake County is Now Accepting Funding Requests
February 22, 2016
The Women's Leadership Council of United Way of Lake County is now accepting funding requests from agencies and organizations for programs that directly impact the lives of women in Lake County.
Our mission is to positively impact the lives of women and girls through the philanthropic efforts of giving, advocating, educating and volunteering. We work toward this, in part, via the support of 501(c)(3) and nonprofit organizations in Lake County with grants that promote a similar mission geared toward women.
Parties interested in applying for funds must fill out a grant application form which can be found here on our website or by contacting Gayle Sikula via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 440-639-1082. Applications are being accepted through March 31, 2016. Organizations and agencies selected to receive grants will be announced when funds are distributed this summer.
The Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Lake County raises donations throughout the year to support the grant funding program through membership fees, speaker engagements, and their annual Women's Winterfest event in December. This is the second funding cycle being offering since the Women’s Leadership Council was reestablished in August of 2013.
United Way of Lake County and a core group of volunteers developed the Women's Leadership Council to positively impact the lives of girls and women in need within our community. If this interests you, we welcome you to become a member. All members are asked to make an annual donation which is used to help advance the mission so that as a group we may be able to engage, empower, mentor and support the women of our community in achieving their goals.
