Official Contest Rules
HOW THE CONTEST WORKS
Ladies & Gentlemen Salon & Spa Giveaway: For each raffle ticket purchased, entrant will receive one entry for a chance to win. One (1) winner will receive (1) free service per month at Ladies & Gentlemen Salon and Spa, details of which are included herein. Non transferable.
$1,000 Giveaway: For every one-hundred dollars ($100) in raffle tickets entrant purchases during one single transaction, entrant will be entered into a second raffle. One (1) winner will receive one-thousand dollars ($1,000), details of which are included herein.
- Odds of winning this Contest are based on the number of entries received. Must be 18 years or older to purchase tickets.
- Contest ends April 30, 2025. Winners will be selected on United Way of Lake County’s 2024 Annual Meeting held on or about May 15, 2025.
- Participation in the Contest constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Contest Rules.
- One (1) winner will receive one (1) free service per month at Ladies & Gentlemen Salon and Spa located in Mentor and Lyndhurst over the period of winner’s lifetime for as long as each location remains in operation. Winner may visit either location or a combination of each from month to month. Prize includes choice of Hair Cuts & Styling, Formal Styling, Manicures, Pedicures, Facials, Relaxation Massages, and Men’s Cuts. Prize is non-transferable and may be used only by the winner.
- Value of Ladies & Gentlemen Salon and Spa prize is determined by the number of uses winner takes advantage of each month over their lifetime. Should prize be unavailable at the time of awarding United Way of Lake County reserves the right to substitute another prize of lesser value or to refund the purchase price of raffle tickets. Should Ladies & Gentlemen Salon and Spa change ownership, Ladies & Gentlemen Hairstylists, Inc. will make every effort to ensure the new owner(s) continue to honor the prize as awarded. Should this not be feasible, the prize would end prior to the lifetime of the winner.
- United Way of Lake County and Ladies & Gentlemen Hairstylists, Inc. (dba Ladies & Gentlemen Salon and Spa) employees, agents, representatives, affiliates and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to participate. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, children, grandchildren and cohabiting significant others. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
- By entering this contest you authorize United Way of Lake County and Ladies & Gentlemen Hairstylists, Inc. to contact you by phone, automated phone equipment and/or pre-recorded messages, mail, and email.
- By entering, winners consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation. Finalists and winner acknowledge that United Way of Lake County and Ladies & Gentlemen Hairstylists, Inc. shall have the right to use winner’s name, likeness and voice in promoting that he/she is the winner, in print, broadcast, online, digital media, and social media. The prize winner must sign a standard release form providing United Way of Lake County with their address, telephone number and email address.
- Winners and participants expressly agree to release and hold harmless United Way of Lake County and Ladies & Gentlemen Hairstylists, Inc., their employees and their affiliated companies and organizations, parents, subsidiaries, agents or contractors and their employees, board members, officers, directors, and any others associated with this Contest from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, and/or liability of any nature whatsoever that winners and participants have or claim to have relating to the Contest, and without limitation, any and all known or unknown claims for damages or injuries arising out of said Contest including human error involving Contest entries, viruses, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or any other cause related to online entries and print entry forms, whether founded in fact or in law with respect to, or in any way arising from the Contest and/or use of the Prizes, including, without limitation, liability for personal injury, damage or loss, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss of any direction of any prize; participation in this Contest or in any activity or travel related thereto or from computer downloading any Contest information.
- United Way of Lake County is the sole judge of all matters pertaining to this contest and reserves the right to change the rules and/or discontinue the contest at any time without notice. All decisions by United Way of Lake County are final and binding in all respects.
- United Way of Lake County reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation with these Official Rules.
- In the event, in the sole judgment of the United Way of Lake County, the Contest is compromised by human error, virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, or any other cause beyond the control of United Way of Lake County such that the Contest cannot be conducted as originally planned, United Way of Lake County reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest by posting a notice to the United Way of Lake County page on their website at uwlc.org. In such event, prize winner will be selected in a random drawing composed of all eligible entries received prior to (and/or after, if appropriate) the action taken by United Way of Lake County.
- No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A minimum raffle ticket fee to benefit United Way of Lake County services is, however, requested. Free entries defeat the charitable fundraising services and are not encouraged. One free entry per person can be obtained by presenting a written request via mail to United Way of Lake County, 9285 Progress Pkwy, Mentor, OH 44060, ATT: Salon Raffle.
