Youth United Way Program
Applications Now Being Accepted for our FREE 2024 Youth United Way Program!
Our 2024 Youth United Way of Lake County (YUW) kicks off this October! The program's purpose is to engage and empower our community’s youth to become active agents of positive change through volunteering, advocacy, and philanthropy.
The Emerging Leaders of United Way of Lake County lead and direct the program. It is designed to teach students how to mobilize community resources to make a positive impact through the spirit of service.
High School students engage in site visits to local non-profit agencies where they learn about the services they provide and the clients they serve. The program culminates with the opportunity for students to take what they've learned, collaborate, and decide which non-profit programs in Lake County will receive real funds, provided courtesy of the Emerging Leaders.
